Travel day to London

Monday, July 27, was primarily a travel day for us.  The kids eagerly awaited the time to board the plane, which you can see out of the window.

Dan somehow managed to finagle his way around the "system" to get us Upper Class seats on a Virgin Atlantic flight to London at almost no cost.  Don't ask...apparently it is a gift of his.  The flight was amazing.  We told the kids to not get used to this treatment.  Here are our seats, complete with footrests.

We were served several meals on the plane.  Jack even ate broccoli!
Thank goodness for in-flight entertainment!  I barely heard a peep out of the kids the entire flight and also managed to watch a movie.
After landing in London, we took a subway to our hotel, which is the Park Lane Hotel in Piccadilly near the Green Park Tube stop.  It is a great central location until we move into our apartment.  Even though it was 10:00 PM London time, we found a great Spanish tapas restaurant right around the corner from the hotel, El Pirata.

Following the late dinner, we were fading fast.  Time to get some shut-eye and hopefully avoid jet lag.
